Many of us are familiar with utilizing music as a transformational tool. We may play a song to transform our mood, heighten a feeling state, energize, or bring about relaxation. We are aware of how powerful music is collectively, and personally. Why does music affect us on so many levels?
|
Music traverses the world of speech and auditory stimulus, traveling particularly profoundly through water, 75% of our body’s constitution. We have the power to listen to recorded music, pick up an instrument for our pleasure, or listen to live music. All can bring about inspiration and healing when our hearts are open. Sound workers use sound and music to assist clients in accessing states, emotions and insights in service of healing, enjoyment, or the unfolding of their life path. Please see the calendar for upcoming group sessions and contact me for private sessions. |
Renée Benmeleh is the founder and facilitator at Bay Area Vocal Improv and a founding year graduate of the Sound, Voice, Music, and Healing Certification Program at The California Institute of Integral Studies. Since then she has been studying sound work techniques with beloved mentor Tito La Rosa and developing my own approach to nourishment with sound that incorporates my voice and my sound.

My approach to sound work is emotive, intuitive, and interactive, as we open the doorway for what is present for you. Perhaps you are healing from an illness, or you are seeking to journey and receive insights. Perhaps you are carrying a child and would like to use music as a tool of support during the process of labor. Perhaps you wish to receive a sound and music bath in the privacy of your own home.
